Background

Pumped Gym was a new entrant to the already pretty crowded gym market in the Stevenage area. Although very popular with the local weight training fraternity (predominantly male), it was looking to expand its offering to more class based gym activities to help attract more ladies and, of course, more members as it was investing heavily in new equipment.

Gyms and Facebook Marketing are perfect partners for three main reasons:

  1. The target user audiences for Gyms are on Facebook in big numbers – nearly 7 Million
  2. They’re a very visual “service” –lots of class action shots and Video’s -fantastic for Facebook advertising
  3. When targeting down the millions of UK Facebook users “interested in gyms” to local level, there are still tens of thousands of prospective new gym members
